Dr Tze Lai
MBBS(Hons), BMedSc, MPHC, FRANZCO

 Dr. Lai has extensive academic and surgical expertise in Cataract and Glaucoma management as well as an active interest in the treatment of Macular Degeneration, with the aim of achieving ophthalmic excellence for each individual patient.


  • Dr. Lai was the first female Ophthalmologist to perform bladeless LenSx Laser- assisted Cataract Surgery in WA.
  • Dr. Lai completed her Ophthalmology specialist training in Western Australia prior to being awarded a Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO) postgraduate scholarship to complete an internationally renowned surgical fellowship in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery, in Toronto, Canada.
  • Dr. Lai has sub-specialized in complex Cataract surgery and Glaucoma surgery (including Minimal Invasive Glaucoma and Femtosecond Laser-assisted Cataract Surgery).
  •  Dr. Lai had worked as past consultant Ophthalmologist at Fremantle Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital.
